Alright, you can't avoid the sickness. Getting out in the "fresh air" sounds like a good idea but it doesn't make you any more healthy. The fact is that microbes are everywhere. And you sleep in that room too....so either way you're going to be around the sickness.

What you CAN do is boost your immune system. The best ways and the most natural ways:

1. Avoid as much sugar as possible. I don't know who that guy is in the video comments who said Vitamin C doesn't work, and I don't know what his credentials are, but I can tell you he's incorrect. To put it extremely simple, vitamin C is necessary to produce white blood cells. And without white blood cells, your body doesn't have an immune system.

Vitamin C and sugar have a very similar structure and are absorbed into cells through the same proteins. If there is too much sugar in your body, the Vitamin C cannot be absorbed, white blood cells aren't made, and your body's infection wins.

<a href="http://www.ehow.com/how-does_4568832_does-sugar-affect-immune-system.html" target="_blank">http://www.ehow.com/how-does_4568832_does-sugar-a...</a>

2. Exercise. I'm not talking a marathon here. I'm just saying maybe 30 minutes of cardio. This will do three main things:

1. Boost the production of macrophages. These are the bacteria fighting white blood cells.
2. Circulate blood through the body faster. Distributing nutrients as well.
3. When the body's core temperature is raised, it inhibits the growth of bacteria, making it easier to kill.

Okay, first off, I miss you and all of your idiosyncrasies. Second, Verity swears by loading up on vitamin C till you just can't take it anymore. Like, unreasonable amounts. And she gets sick less than I do. But rest when you can, power nap it at least once a day, don't eat junk food even though you probably don't have a lot of non-junk options (most veggies can be steamed in the microwave with a little water) and find an... ahem... "spirit-filled" cronie to pray for you.

In fact, do the last one first.

Alright-couple things-the Zicam and zinc tablets are kinda redundant. You may want to check with a pharmacist to make sure you can take that much zinc. Also to 2nd Pross but take it one higher-do that in the shower-extreme cold then extreme hot for 30sec to a min for 3-4 rounds. End on cold. Or do what I'm doing right now as I don't feel well-moan like Billy Crystal in When Harry Met Sally. I'm sure your roomies won't mind.
