The Need for Simplicity in Your Spiritual Life
I aksed the question recently on my church’s Facebook page:
What’s a one-word prayer that you would offer up to God this morning?
Below are the responses. This was easily the most responded to post we’ve ever had.
Do you think people have a need for simplicity? Even in their spiritual lives? What should a response like this tell us?
Stop making the Gospel so difficult. People want Jesus. That’s about it.

justin I am a retired Occupational Therapist. We work to get people back to their chosen lives after accident, injury or illness. Its a risky job because at some stage you have to stand by and watch and encourage the person independently to walk, cook, use knives, climb stairs, strike matches and so on while remaining close enough and alert enough to prevent serious accident/injury.
In England, at least, all Occupational Therapists who pray know the Occupational Therapist’s prayer which is indeed simple
“Help, NOW!”
The please and thank you come later once the emergency is past. I know that God approves of this prayer because He has answered it for me so often!!
