Quotable Quotes – God’s Power & Our Freedom

From God and Human Suffering by Douglas John Hall:

The Judeo-Christian tradition does not deny the power of God, but neither does it magnify this attribute; moreover, and more to the point, it does not abstract the divine power from the divine-human relationship. The relationship qualifies–radically–the nature and deployment of power on God’s part.

God’s chooses to honor your will; your choices. Pause, and calmly think on that.

Hey Justin, I just discovered your blog a few weeks ago, and since I don't consider myself a blog stalker, I thought I'd finally say I really like what you're doing. This quote is really compelling, and not something we think about when we try to pray 'Thy will be done.' God's will being done begins with us, and God is hoping that our will coincides with His.
